As we make our way through life, each of us searches for something meaningful.
To be loved.
To belong.
To understand.
To be seen.
To matter.
To find peace.
What we search for may change over the years, but the search itself never really leaves us.
I created The Search after a friend shared with me something of her own spiritual journey. I knew her path had not been a straight one. There were twists and turns, roadblocks and unexpected openings, moments of light and periods of darkness. So I tried to capture that journey visually — to create something that would reflect not only where she had been, but the uncertainty and hope of where she was still going.
Somehow, the finished work became one of my favorite prints.
Perhaps that's because The Search isn't really about my friend. It's about all of us.
Each of us is searching for something. And perhaps the most important part of the journey is not knowing exactly where it will lead, but continuing to look.
