About

Mark Travers is an artist from the United States whose work is part of the globally-influenced contemporary art movement. He is best known for his urban-inspired Metropolis prints and paintings, his carved and painted Reliquary™ wood sculptures, and his "New Land" landscape paintings.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute, New York, his career took an unexpected turn. He spent over 30 years in advertising as a writer, art director, creative director and, ultimately, owner of a marketing and media company. He sold the business in 2010 and has been making art again, full time, ever since. He welcomes your comments and inquiries.
His work is represented by Houska Gallery in St. Louis and Gebert Contemporary in Scottsdale, AZ and Santa Fe, NM. It has been shown in New York, Los Angeles and places in between.
